PHILOSOPHY AND BACKGROUND
MainHeading, LCC is the web studio of Lori Cole, M.T.P.W.
Lori believes in useful and responsible web design that will provide access for all users, support for open standards, and interoperability between front- and back-end code. Lori enjoys:
- designing interactive interfaces conforming to W3C-approved technology and as closely as possible to WAI Level A Accessibility as well as to U.S. Government Section 508.
- customizing web pages with the content management system Wordpress and web authoring tools such as TopStyle, and the ftp server Filezilla.
- coding valid HTML, XHTML, CSS, and PHP;
- creating web graphics with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator; and
- capturing highly detailed visuals with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel camera.
EDUCATION
Lori’s education includes a Web Technology Certificate from the International Webmasters Association, a Master’s degree in Technical Communication from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maine.
